This Privacy Policy describes how Floom AI, Inc. ("Floom," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Floom platform (the "Service"). If your organization has executed a separate written agreement with Floom AI, Inc. that includes data processing terms, those terms govern to the extent of any conflict with this policy.
We collect account information (name, email, organization), data you submit to the Service (including portfolio company information, financial metrics, and documents), and standard usage data (browser type, IP address, pages visited).
We use your information to operate and provide the Service, process and analyze data on your behalf, synchronize data with third-party platforms you authorize, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
When your organization connects the Service to a third-party platform (such as Airtable), data is transmitted to that platform only as authorized by your organization administrator. You may revoke access at any time through the Service or the third-party platform. Third-party platforms are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
When your organization connects the Service to an AI assistant or Model Context Protocol (MCP) client (such as Claude), the portfolio data, financial metrics, and documents an authorized user requests are transmitted to that platform to fulfill the request, and — where that user has been granted write access — the assistant may create or update records in Floom on their behalf. These actions use the same account, authentication, and per-user access permissions as the Service, occur only as authorized by your organization administrator (who can revoke access at any time), and are governed by the AI platform's own terms and privacy policy.
If you use the Floom add-in for Microsoft Excel, it lets you view your organization's Floom data within Excel and send updates back to Floom, using the same account and access permissions as the Service. The add-in works with the content of the spreadsheet you are using only as needed to show the data you request and to carry out the actions you choose to take. We do not use your spreadsheet content for any other purpose, and we do not sell it. Your use of Microsoft Excel is also subject to Microsoft's own terms and privacy policy.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and multi-tenant data isolation.
We retain data for the duration of your organization's account. Upon termination, data is deleted within ninety (90) days, except where retention is required by law.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at privacy@floom.vc. We respond to verified requests within thirty (30) days.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email with at least thirty (30) days' advance notice.
